Sunset Bears creates handmade teddy bears, including:
Made-to-order (custom) bears

• Ready-made (stock) bears

• Memory bears created from customer-provided materials

All items are individually handmade and therefore unique.
 

3. Orders

3.1 Custom & Memory Bear Orders

• All custom and memory bears are made specifically to order.

• Once work has begun, orders cannot be cancelled.

• By placing an order, you confirm that all design details discussed are correct.

3.2 Ready-Made Bears

• Ready-made bears are sold as seen.

• Minor variations in colour may occur due to screen differences.
   

4. Customer-Provided Materials (Memory Bears)

4.1 Ownership & Permission

You confirm that:

• You own the materials provided or have permission to use them

• The items may be permanently altered (cut, sewn, reshaped)

4.2 Condition of Materials

• Every effort is made to handle your items with care

• However, Sunset Bears is not responsible for:

  • Weak, worn, delicate, or aged fabrics

  • Damage caused by the condition of materials

  • Hidden faults not visible prior to cutting

4.3 Irreplaceable Items

Customers acknowledge that:

• Items sent may be irreplaceable

• While every effort is made to preserve meaningful sections, exact placement cannot be guaranteed

4.4 Unused Materials

Unused fabric can be returned upon request. If not requested, it may be responsibly disposed of.
 

5. Pricing & Payment

Quotes are provided prior to work beginning.

5.2 Payment Terms

• Full payment or agreed deposit is required before work begins

• Orders will not be started until payment is received

• These are approximate and may vary due to workload or complexity

• Delays may occur during busy periods, and customers will be informed where possible
   

7. Design & Customisation

• Every bear is handmade and may vary slightly from initial designs

• For memory bears, fabric placement is guided by available material

• Sunset Bears will aim to preserve meaningful features where possible but cannot guarantee exact replication
   

8. Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 Custom & Memory Orders

• Non-refundable once work has started

8.2 Ready-Made Bears

• Eligible for return within 14 days under UK consumer law

• Must be unused and in original condition

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty.
 

9. Shipping & Delivery

9.1 Delivery

• Orders are sent using tracked UK delivery services

9.2 Risk & Responsibility

• Risk passes to the customer once the item has been dispatched

• Sunset Bears is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services

9.3 Lost or Damaged Items

• Assistance will be provided in making claims with the courier where necessary
   

10. Care & Use

• Bears are keepsakes and not designed for rough play

• Not suitable for machine washing

• Gentle surface cleaning only
   

11. Safety Notice

• Bears may contain small parts and are not suitable for young children without supervision

• Memory bears are intended as keepsakes rather than toys
   

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• Sunset Bears shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss

• Liability is limited to the value of the item purchased

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

All designs, images, patterns, and content on this website remain the property of Sunset Bears.

They may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

Sunset Bears may photograph completed bears for portfolio, website, or social media use.
